It's a companion, a friend, and probably the only creature on this godforsaken planet that truly loves you. Its wit and wisdom is sure to lift your spirits and keep you smiling.

Need something to break the monotony of a long workday? Desktop Dot sits quietly on your screen, always on top if you want, waiting for you to click it. When you do, it plays a random sound from its collection of audio clips. Leave it alone and it might just speak up on its own -- you never know when the Dot will have something to say. It's the desktop enhancement you never knew you needed.

Desktop Dot is highly configurable and comes with full install/uninstall support. Set it up in seconds, and remove it cleanly whenever you want. Right-click on the dot for the menu -- access settings, toggle Stay on Top mode, or choose Exit when you've had enough of its wisdom.

Key Features

Random Sounds Click the dot to hear a random sound, or let it surprise you with automatic sound playback at intervals you configure. Desktop Dot scans its directory for all WAV files and randomly plays them during execution.
Stay on Top Toggle the Stay on Top option so the dot sits above all other windows. It's always visible on your desktop, ready for action no matter what else you're doing.
Configurable Settings Control when sounds are played, whether the dot stays on top, and whether random sounds are enabled. Open the settings from the right-click menu and adjust everything to your liking.
Custom Sound Files Want your own sounds? Copy any WAV files into the Desktop Dot directory, restart the program, and it will load your custom audio files automatically. The only supported format is WAV.
Install and Uninstall Full installer and uninstaller included. Clean setup, clean removal. No leftover files, no registry clutter.

How to Use Desktop Dot

  • Launch it -- Run reddot.exe and the dot appears on your desktop. That's it. No complex setup required.
  • Click it -- Left-click the dot to hear a random sound from its collection.
  • Right-click it -- Access the menu to toggle Stay on Top, open Settings, or Exit the program.
  • Add your own sounds -- Exit Desktop Dot, copy your personal WAV files into the same directory as reddot.exe, then re-run the program. It will automatically load your custom audio files alongside the originals.

When you right-click the Desktop Dot, a menu appears with the option to Stay on Top of all other programs, access settings, or exit.
