TrayCD v1.06 - Open CD Drive from System Tray
Open and close your CD-ROM drives with one click from the Windows system tray
One-Click CD-ROM Control from the System Tray
Is your CD-ROM drive in an inconvenient spot? Tucked behind a desk, mounted in a hard-to-reach rack, or just annoying to manually press? TrayCD places a small icon in your Windows system tray that lets you open or close any CD-ROM drive with a single mouse click. No more reaching behind the computer or fumbling with a physical button.
TrayCD automatically detects all CD-ROM drives in your system and displays them in a right-click popup menu. It shows the current state of each drive (open or closed) and lets you toggle them instantly. It also supports removable media drives and can refresh the drive list on the fly when USB drives are connected.

Tips and Troubleshooting
If TrayCD shows the wrong state for a drive (e.g., only showing "Close" when the drive is actually closed), close all your CD-ROM drives manually and then click the Refresh option in the TrayCD menu. This resyncs the drive state. This can happen if you manually eject a drive or if another application takes control of the CD device.
If you encounter "mci device" or "mmsystem" errors, this indicates a Windows-level communication issue with the CD-ROM device. Try rebooting the machine. Some CD-R writing software can lock the device, preventing TrayCD from accessing it.
