What is portable mode in RJL System Cleaner?

In portable mode, RJL System Cleaner stores all its files (settings, logs, statistics) in the same folder as the .exe instead of in your Windows user profile. This means you can carry the entire program on a USB drive and use it on any computer without leaving any trace behind.

How portable mode is detected:

• If a file named portable.txt exists next to the .exe -- portable mode is forced
• If the .exe is on a removable drive (USB) -- portable mode is used automatically
• If settings.ini already exists next to the .exe -- portable mode is used
• If the .exe is in a Program Files directory -- installed mode is used (%APPDATA%)
• Default -- portable mode

To force portable mode on any drive, create an empty file named portable.txt in the same folder as the .exe.

In installed mode, settings and logs go to: %APPDATA%\RJL Software\System Cleaner\
